Scope
This symposium is prepared for advanced studies on structures and functions of natural and artificial soft matters. Hierarchical structures and dynamic behaviors characterize each soft matter, and explain the molecular mechanism of physical properties and functions. Varieties of interdisciplinary approach are then effectively applied for fundamental science and developed technology of soft matter. Various kinds of soft matter treated in this symposium are liquids, colloids, polymers, liquid crystals, biomolecules, gels, membranes, microemulsions, foams, granular materials, inorganic particles, biological materials, tissues, and so on. Applications are also expanded to food stuff, cosmetics, sensors, fuel cells, MEMS, self-regulated actuators, drug delivery systems, cement, soil, used in various areas of agriculture, medical science, electronics, and civil engineering, and any other areas.
Topics
- Molecular Mechanism of Structures and Properties of Gel and Network Formations
