Scope

The objective of this symposium is to bring together scientific experts from academia, industry, and government agencies around the world to present and discuss the current research findings on the area of nano-architectonics for eco-friendly and green energy harvesting technology. Specifically, we will focus on six key research areas. (1) Photocatalysts for fuel production and environment remediation, (2) Metal catalysts for sustainable energy, (3) Gas separation, (4) Functional thin film, (5) Sensory materials addressing environmental concerns, and (6) Functional nanomaterials for sustainable electronics & optics. The symposium will be focusing on the critical aspects of experimental and theoretical approaches of synthesis, characterization, and functionalization of low-dimensional nano-materials towards green / energy harvesting technology. We will begin each session with overview/keynote talks followed by a session of oral presentations that delve into the scientific / technical aspects of the subjects. The symposium will also foster new collaborations between academic and industrial participants, especially for the young generation. This community of users, researchers and developers of engineered green / energy materials will provide long-term remediation of present concerns, scientific assessment of where it should be heading, and what are the necessary steps that need to be taken care by the researchers in order to realize the targeted goals.
