Scope
Well-designed engineered nanomaterials are now indispensable for the promotion of nanotechnology in chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic industries as well as medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and agricultural industries, since the nanomaterials exhibit various unique properties owing to their small sizes that cause coloring, enhanced catalytic activities, a significant increase in mechanical strength and so forth. However, the hazardous aspects of nanomaterials should be clarified for their wide use in our daily life, since it has remained still unclear what influence the nanomaterials exert on the health and environment. The risk assessment of engineered nanomaterials in the health and environment is requisite for the sound development of nanotechnology. Hence, this symposium focuses on the influence of nanomaterials upon the health and environment. This symposium, however, also focuses on the advanced technologies for the utilization of engineered nanomaterials that are crucial for the nanotechnology development. Hence, this symposium will offer a forum of active discussion to promote the nanotechnology using engineered nanomaterials. A lot of papers are encouraged to be submitted from the wide area of basic science, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, toxicology and the other fields concerning the symposium scope.
