Scope
Recently, a great deal of attention has been paid to the research area of molecular thin films because of the interest in electro-luminescence (EL) devices, field effect transistors (FETs), solar cells and biological applications. It should be noted here that the improvement of the functions depends on the orientation and order of the molecular systems. It seems, however, that exchange of the ideas and opinions between researchers of fundamental sides and application ones has not been enough. This symposium was organized in order to bridge the chasm between the both sides and researchers in various fields are expected to participate in this session for the discussions on current topics toward future advancement.
